HEATHER
ERNST
Aspiring Journalist

About Me
My name is Heather Ernst and I am from the snow capped mountains of Salt Lake City, Utah, however, I also spent a good amount of time going to University in the desert of Tucson, Arizona. I'm 22 years old and am currently studying journalism at the University of Utah aspiring to have a career in sport journalism and one day writing and reporting for the NBA.

My passion is writing and my love for writing has led me to journalism. I have an interest in sports, however I enjoy the broadness of journalism and how I can write about many more of my interests apart from just sports. My enjoy traveling, meeting new people and learning about different cultures, an enjoyment I would be keen to write about.

I am currently a student studying journalism, but I am also a freelance sports journalist at a local newspaper, The Midvale City Journal. I write mainly about High School sports at Hillcrest High School, but my job isn't strictly limited to sports. I have also written for The Arizona Daily Wildcat as a sports journalist where I focused on sports like women's golf and football. I would love to one day write for a larger publication like ESPN or The New York Times as a sports reporter and be one of the women in a now growing population of female sports journalists in our society.
